You deserve to have a life you love and to live it YOUR way!
Hey there! I’m Tasha – a Certified Life Coach, Reiki practitioner, Intuitive Card Reader, coffee lover, global traveler, optimist, and dreamer. I live in beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada. I am an expert on inspiring others, making things happen, and dealing with whatever life throws at me. I am down to earth, and I like to keep things in perspective. With me, what you see is what you get. I often say “I can only be me because I don’t know how to be anybody else.” I’ve tried to be what I thought I ‘should’ be before, and it was an epic fail. One of my personal mottos is ‘be who you are and do what you want because what other people think of you is none of your business’. I love connecting with like-minded people, indulging in stimulating conversation and helping others see their own brilliance.
I believe joy, freedom, confidence and abundance are our birthright.
I believe that anything is possible.
I believe everything happens for a reason.
I believe actions speak louder than words.
I believe that everyone has a passion for something.
I believe it’s important to live in the present moment.
I believe that your full potential is doing whatever it is you love.
I believe we have so much to be thankful for.
I believe we should look for the opportunities in our lives.
I believe happiness lies in the journey, not the destination.
I believe that how I treat people is far more important than money.
I believe people can love you in their own way.
I believe our family and/or friends are here to lift us up.
I believe travel is exciting and helps us learn and grow.
I believe eating healthy is one of the best acts of self-love.
I believe there is still a lot of good in the world.
And I believe that we can all live life wide open every day.
Why Wide Open?
A few weeks before my 22nd birthday, my older brother Stephen was killed in a car accident. I had lost my only sibling, and my life was forever changed. I could have fixated on the bad and stayed stuck in that place of sadness OR paid homage to my brother and his life by going out and living mine. I chose the latter. I think that’s what he would have done too. He was the kind of guy who did what he wanted – no matter what other people thought. He said what he meant and meant what he said. He certainly wasn’t perfect, but he had a good heart, and he knew how to have fun. A few years ago, one of our mutual friends sent me a message, and said “your brother, man, he was WIDE OPEN.”
Since his death, I’ve had a greater appreciation for life and have tried to get as much out of mine as I can – travel, new experiences, moving to different places, meeting new people, and most importantly, remaining true to myself. Somewhere in there (for a few years anyway), I got off track. I stopped listening to my intuition and ended up becoming very unhappy. It’s now my mission to help other people get back on track – or preferably not get off track! I realized that the more I remained open (in my heart and mind), the easier life became. In being more flexible with when and how things happened, I found that I manifested the things I wanted even quicker. The more open I was in general (and not closed off because of fear), the more clarity I had – in solutions, ideas, creativity, etc. The more faith I had that The Universe was supporting me, the more leaps I took, and thus rewards I reaped.
If I could give you all a gift, it would be the courage to live your own life wide open!
What does living life wide open mean? It means making no apologies for who you are, what you love, or how you live. It is love, kindness, compassion and respect for yourself, others and the Universe at large. It involves taking responsibility for your actions and in your relationships. It means living authentically with an open heart and an open mind. It brings truth, freedom, serenity, endless possibility and joy. It is tuning into and trusting your intuition instead of just following what seems logical. Stop letting the pain of the past and fear of the future rule your life. Realize you can have, be, or do anything you want! Make a change if you need to in order to be happy. Be open to new possibilities. Give it all you’ve got. There’s nothing in your way. Make every moment count. NOW is the time to live like you really mean it! I can help you do that.
Here’s some other fun stuff you might want to know about me: I lived in the Northwest Territories (Canada’s Arctic) for 5 years. I like yoga. I love the ocean. And the mountains. I’ve had the same 2 best friends since I was 12. I’m proud to say that my Mom is my hero. I delight in connecting people with things that will help them grow – new experiences, opportunities, other people, themselves. I retired from a career in aviation at the age of 38. I enjoy pretty much every genre of music. I’m a Scorpio. I actually kind of like doing dishes. I love a good nap. I’m not afraid of voicing my opinion or being different. I earned a BSc double major in Biology and Psychology from Dalhousie University. I love road trips. I have a wildly improbable goal of hanging out with Richard Branson on Necker Island for a few days sometime before I turn 50.
